Annual Salary: $51,762 - $67,291 (DOQ)

Office Hours: Mondays – Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position Summary

This position provides for the design and implementation of the Village’s overall Records Management Program, in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and best management practices. This position also serves as an administrator for the Laserfiche electronic records management system. This position also assists with mid-advanced level Village Clerk’s Office matters, meeting administration matters, election matters, procurement matters, and acts in the capacity of the Village Clerk in their absence. Work is directly related to the general business operations of the Village and the employee’s primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.


Position is supervised by the Village Clerk; however, it involves independent high-level discretion and program management responsibilities. Performance is evaluated by observing results obtained, adherence to policies and procedures, work in progress, written reports and management of diverse and fast-paced tasks and priorities.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree in public administration, business or any related field is required; but a Bachelor’s Degree or higher is highly preferred. Two (2) years of experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education.
  • This is not an entry-level, clerical position. A minimum of five (5) years of complex records management administration and supervision is required. This experience should include knowledge of pertinent Florida records laws, advanced records management best management practices, policy making, program implementation, and proficiency with Laserfiche (preferably at the administrator level).
  • Must also be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Adobe Acrobat DC and be comfortable with learning emerging technologies.
  • Strong municipal government experience is strongly preferred.
